Gourmet
is the only company to offer a full range of Asia's best
cuisines - Thai, Cantonese, Sze chuan, Indian, Indonesian,
Singapore and Vietnamese.
Our
SpicePastes© are different from dehydrated and powdered
mixes. We chop and grind fresh herbs and spices together
until their juices and natural oils form a paste.
The
wet paste is then slowly and gently stir-fried until the
essential oils from the herbs and spices have been released.
By preserving the herbs and spices in their own essential
oils, we achieve a stable SpicePaste©. Prepared in this
time honored Asian way - in the form of a spice paste - no
chemical flavor enhancers (MSG) or preservatives are needed.
Powdered
mixes use dehydrated herbs and spices, which from the time
they are ground lose their flavors and aroma. Oxidation
occurs during the dehydration process, causing the flavors
and aroma to change. Flavor enhancers (MSG) are added to
powdered mixes to boost the flavors
